Education and Employment

2005 PhD  Inorganic Chemistry  Nanjing University, China. At present, Prof. SHEN teaches two or more courses each semester at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, such as Inorganic Chemistry, Advanced Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry etc. Other duties include giving lectures on some specific topics to students and supervising M. Sc. thesis.

Research Areas

  • Coordination chemistry: polycyanometallates as templates for magnetic materials; polynuclear metal complexes with novel physicochemical properties.
  • Nanomaterials Chemistry: Morphology syntheses and properties of nanomaterials of metal oxides, metal sulfides and coordination polymers.
